John Lofgren's Donkey Puncher Boot draws it's inspiration from a varietyof traditional work boots fromthe first half of the 20th century, combining various elements into a pair of boots that is truly outstanding both in terms of styling and the impeccable craftsmanship on display. The name comes from the operators of steam engines called 'steam donkeys' used by American loggers from the late 19th century. The operators were called 'donkey punchers' and had to have durable boots that could stand up totheir demanding workdays.
Made from start tofinish by experienced craftsmen in Japan with no expenses spared in the sourcing of materials. John Lofgren is famous formaking sure thatevery step of the supply chain isbeingmade underethical working conditions, even down to the nails and eyelets.
The uppers are made from the highest grade Horween ChromexcelRoughout uppers in Natural color and lined in Japanese horse leather.
